Sept. 30, 2009<= /p>

The meeting was called to order at 7:07pm by Presid= ent Tom Schneider with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence.

Deputy Gary Gonzalez told us that there were two burglaries committed on September 23, 2009 in our community. The suspect was caught and currently in Jail. He was a s= on of a owner and was not suppose to be living in her home.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> He also announced that someone is = going door to door soliciting to do yard work.&n= bsp; If anyone comes to your door doing any soliciting you are to call 91= 1and report it as there is no soliciting allowed here. He stated to keep your doors locked. He also told of free = VIN etching for your automobiles on October 17th at the Sheriffs office. Please call ahead for an appointme= nt.

Office Brian Major gave an overview of the Seniors Supporting Soldiers program. = We will be collecting items to send to soldiers in the = Middle East. The collection box is in the lobby of the Club House with a list of i= tems to donate. =

Secretary Joyce Kelly read the minutes of the gener= al meeting on May 27, 2009. They= were accepted as read.

Treasurer President Tom Schneider gave the treasurer’s report. It = was accepted as read.

Membership Darlene Coulling reported that we currently have 478 paid members.

Vice President Colleen Thibaut= said there was a complaint that the air compressor to fill tires was not working. It has been fixed. The net for the basketball hoop wa= s torn and will be replaced. Colleen stated that we need to have evening hours for video rental and ticket sales. She asked for volunteers. Also stated that we are still looking into purchasing four hand held microphones= . Colleen has been setting up a tabl= e at the cocktail parties for HOA and signed up 20 new members over the summer. =

Activities Vice President Colleen read a letter from Linda Murphy resigning as activities direc= tor. She said that we need a volunteer to serve out Linda‘s term. Richard Murphy announce= d the HOA Dance Committee will be having a Halloween Dance on Saturday October 31= st from 7 to 10pm. Tickets will = be on sale in the card room October 19,20 &26th from 9 to 10am. Cost is $7.00 per person.

Committee Reports Mary Madden said she still = needs volunteers for Circle of Friends. Call her if you are interested. Bill Brown from Neighbor’s H= elping Neighbor’s has Hurricane disaster information available set up in the back of the room for us to look at tonight. A meeting will take place Friday O= ctober 2nd at 1:00pm in the auditorium for anyone interested.

Clubs The Pilot = Club is having a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser October 25th. Price is $10.00. Tickets will be on sale in the car= d room Monday October 5th,12th and 19th from 8:30 to 10am. A limit of 200 tickets = will be sold.

Canteen Wayne Thibaut a= nnounced that the Canteen will open full time on October 19. He still needs volunteers.

A question from the floor as to whether or not anot= her mobile home would be put on a lot if it is damaged beyond repair.? President Tom stated that he would= look into it.

It was announced that there is a free program for W= orld War II Vets to fly to Washingt= on DC to see the Memorial.
